These are the official Eternal Rust™ policies. They are enforced across our whole network and no player is exempt. Not knowing a policy is no excuse for breaking it: it is every player's responsibility to understand them before playing.

Discord rules
Help keep Eternal Rust™ welcoming, fair and enjoyable for everyone.
Do not discuss illegal activities anywhere in our communities.
No racism or homophobia towards any of our members.
No spam or advertising in our Discord or any affiliated platform.

General game rules
Play fairly and help keep a fun, competitive game for everyone. These apply on every server in the network.
No cheating or hacking. Third-party software that gives an unfair advantage, such as aimbots or wallhacks, is strictly prohibited. Promoting cheats, influencing others to use them, or claiming to have or use them is a bannable offence.
No impersonation. Do not impersonate server admins, moderators or other players.
No exploiting glitches or bugs. Using game bugs or glitches for an unfair advantage is against the rules. Report them to the server admins instead.
No excessive toxicity. Trash talk and banter are fine to a point; excessive toxicity and constant harassment will not be tolerated.
No spamming or advertising. No repetitive messages, no advertising other servers, and no promoting products or services.

AU 2x rules
Use common sense. These apply on AU 2x on top of the general game rules.
Be respectful. No hate speech, racism, excessive toxicity or targeted harassment in global chat.
No safe zone blocking. Do not build walls, bases or turrets that directly block access to a safe zone.
No stream sniping. Do not set out to engage a content creator in game on purpose.
No cheater callouts. Do not call out cheaters in chat. Report them through Admin Support instead.
No exploiting. This includes, but is not limited to, stat duping, item duping and abusing game bugs.

Game-ban policy
Your Rust game ban(s) must be over 120 days old.
You cannot play Eternal with 2 or more game bans less than 365 days old.
Extensive or extreme ban histories are reviewed case by case.

Steam account policy
Accounts must be older than 2 months.
Your Steam profile must be set up.
VPNs go through a whitelist process and are reviewed case by case.

Alternative accounts
Alternate, new or low-hour accounts are a security risk, and playing on one results in an automatic or manual ban.
Staff can review these bans case by case on appeal, if you are a genuine new player, have lost access to your primary account, or are vouched for by an active player. Each of these needs proof or confirmation.
Playing on an alt, new or low-hour account without direct approval or whitelisting from staff will likely result in a ban. Go through the proper channels before playing on our servers with an unseasoned account.

Cheater association policy
Playing with a cheater or ban evader can lead to an association ban. It is up to you to make sure nobody you play with cheats in Rust, or has cheated before. Every situation is investigated internally by our administration team.
This also applies to banned users on the same network. If someone on your network is banned, any account connected to that network that attempts to connect to Eternal will be banned.
No exceptions are made, and using any malicious method to get around this restriction is strictly prohibited.

Cyber attack and harassment policy
We have zero tolerance for doxxing and DDoSing. This includes, but is not limited to:
Making DDoS or dox threats against any member of our community.
Sharing or soliciting personal information, including but not limited to real names, addresses, emails and social accounts.
Promoting, influencing, inciting or taking part in doxxing or DDoSing.
We also have zero tolerance for any other form of cyber attack or cyber harassment. Violators will be reported to the authorities immediately.
Anyone aware of someone breaking this policy must report it to community staff straight away through our 24/7 support system.

Appeals policy
Ban appeals are reviewed by a member of the administrative team who did not carry out your ban.
Mute appeals are reviewed by a member of the staff team who did not carry out your mute.
An appeal is denied if other staff members support the original decision.
Appeals must be genuine and honest. Lying in an appeal results in a blacklist.

Poaching policy
Player or team poaching within our network is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
Taking a position to directly or indirectly do harm to our network.
Taking a position to directly or indirectly poach from our network.
Unauthorised promotion of your services or organisation within our network.
Violators receive a blacklist and a permanent ban from all affiliated Discords and servers. In game, a first offence is a 90-day ban and a second offence is a permanent ban.

Store policy
Transactions are final and take effect immediately once successfully processed and confirmed.
Chargebacks. Disputing a transaction you made with Eternal Rust™ results in a server ban. To be unbanned, open a Store Support ticket in our Discord.
